The City of Sheridan is pleased to announce  that it will launch its first Community Clean Up Day in conjunction with its long-running Trees for Trash at the landfill. This event is slated for Saturday, May 6 and is designed to bring the community together to help Keep Sheridan Beautiful. The City of Sheridan will provide Community Clean Up Day volunteers all tools necessary to participate. Individuals and groups may sign up by April 30 online by clicking here.

Volunteer groups will be dispatched to specific open spaces in Sheridan, including entry and exit points and areas in need near parks and streams. The City Parks department will plant up to 20 ornamental trees in recognition of this new community effort. The City of Sheridan’s Trees for Trash and Community Clean Up Day is sponsored by ERA Carroll Realty, Landon’s Greenhouse & Nursery and Sheridan Media.

“We’re inviting citizens to help clean up the open spaces we all enjoy,” said Dan Roberts, City of Sheridan utilities manager. “Businesses, community groups, non-profits and others are all welcome to participate in our new Community Clean Up Day and can sign up online starting today.”
