Parks Division Mission Statement

To care for and enhance our parks, pathways, open space and cemetery, and improve our quality of life by providing the highest quality public service, maintenance and development.

To reserve a City Park shelter, please Review the City Park Reservations calendar  to check for availability of the park area shelters then complete a City Park Use Permit  and submit to the City of Sheridan Customer Service Division, (307) 674-6483.

For locations of all City maintained Parks and Pathways, please view the parks map.

There are a number of parks and facilities, within the City of Sheridan, maintained by Sheridan Recreation District, including:

  • Tennis Courts at Kendrick Park
  • Thorne-Rider Park
  • Sheridan Skate Park
  • Oatts Field
  • Sheridan College Softball Complex
  • Story Centennial Park
