SNOW MAINTENANCE UPDATE – Monday, January 22, 2018
Our Snow Removal Crews are battling ice build-up problems in residential areas. Our focus at this time is low-lying drainage areas, intersections with deep valley pans that are iced over and continuing to sand all intersections. We are applying a salt brine application that will soften the ice to allow us to cut and remove it. You may notice the purplish color. The salt brine is mixed with beet juice. Why beet juice? This allows the salt brine to work at temps as low as -6 degrees. We appreciate your understanding and patience while we work through this ice issue.
