Trees For Trash is a one-day event held in May each year. During this time, residential customers of the City of Sheridan and Sheridan County may dump up to one ton of household trash for free and receive a free tree! Trees For Trash is advertised in advance and posted on the Solid Waste Division calendar.  (Free disposal does not include tires, refrigeration units, or car batteries.)

Do I need to secure my load when going to the Landfill? 2017-07-31T17:08:03+00:00

All loads entering the landfill must be secured in such a manner that none of the load escapes the vehicle during transport. Examples of ways to secure loads include: rope, bungees, tie downs, tarps or cargo nets. For instance, a pickup carrying loose leaves in the bed would require a tarp and rope to be considered secure.  Violation of the secured load ordinance will result in $10.35 per load fee for pickups and a $51.25 per load fee for large vehicles and trailers.
